Hi all, recently diagnosed with lung cancer and have developed a persistent dry cough, Making it hard to talk. Has anyone had this and did anything help. Thank you
Hi MrsDoings sorry to hear of your recent diagnoses. There are a couple of things you can try to help with the cough. Honey and hot lemon drinks will help with the throat, as you are coughing a lot your throat will be irritated. The honey and lemon will help to sooth this. I also sleep with a humidifier in my room, to keep moisture in the air which I find helps. Having the central heating on at this time of the year really does dry the air which can make a cough worse. If you haven’t already done so, then do speak to your gp about this, as there are inhalers that can help.
Thank you Chelle, `thanks so much for this advice. Really helpful xxxx
