My bf is stage 4 nsc lung cancer, adrenal gland mets, in palliative care. He is looking to connect with someone in a similar position as himself. Someone who understands what he’s going through I guess, talk, maybe go for a walk…
Hi. If your friend would like to physically meet up with someone then it would be good to say which area of the country he’s in.
There may be local cancer support groups, like a Maggie’s centre, he could contact (just search on internet) and Macmillan nurses would know of other patients who might be happy to chat. Not everyone would want to.
A lot of people manage to have helpful conversations and make long distance friendships on here. It can also be good to talk anonymously sometimes. Perhaps he’d be up for that. Hope that helps a bit.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
