Hi , just received my telephone call for my 6 week check up after my lobectomy.
Not all good news as more cancer was found in my nodes and I now require some kind of therapy. It's the first time I have really felt it was real. I was so positive before that phone call , now I just feel sick. 10 days in hospital and 3 weeks of feeling like rubbish and finally starting to come out of it. I am devastated and so is my husband.
The surgeon said said my 1b cancer was more advanced than they thought .

Well that really sucks. Until your team meets, I guess you won't have much in the way of information about the salvage plan, but try not to overthink it in the meantime. Trying to guess what they will recommend will only drive you nuts.
Be kind to yourself at the moment. Hopefully you can meet with your team soon and find out where things go from here.
Hi Diana 1965 I am sorry to hear your news. This must of come as a big shock for you, and I can understand you and your husband feeling devastated.
I know you will be feeling deflated at the moment, but hopefully once you have spoken to your oncologist and find out what treatment you will be on, you can get back to feeling more positive. Your recovery has just taken a blip with this news, and will now take a bit longer to the finish line, but you’ll get there xx
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
