Morning everybody, well today is my last day of Immunotherapy treatment Divermulab, had 12 monthly treatments before that 3 cycles of chemo plus 30 sessions of radiotherapy it’s been a bumpy road, I have NSCLC stage 3 advance, tumours have shrunk considerably left lung and centre of chest. Next appointment with Oncoligist 31st May with CT scan week before, there’s nothing more that can be done as they have hopefully managed to treat cancer but not cure it, only time will tell. The WGH in Edinburgh especially staff in ward 1 have been fantastic always time for a blether when in for your treatment.
Hi Toniblade, the after effects of radiotherapy were quite bad, difficulty swallowing food, had to go on a soft food diet for about 6 weeks until able to eat normal food also fatigue still have very low energy levels . now finding a year down the line my bones in my back are now brittle and have had a couple of fractures since Christmas . Also immunotherapy has caused joint pain especially in hands but as the say no pain no gain lol.
Take care
