Good morning peeps
Almost 5yrs post upper R lobectomy, no need for chemo or radiotherapy (thank goodness) last 2 years, scans are more regular 6-3 months. Several tiny nodules have shown in latest scan (March 2025) having a further scan 17th July.
I've been having a little bit of a problem with my throat, sometimes I fee6a little piece of saliva seems to go down the wrong way causing a coughing episode. My neck is also really uncomfortable. Had a neck x ray 18th June & had a call from GP 30th June with an appointment to see her on 21st July, advised to call surgery if neck pain worsens & Dr will arrange an emergency appointment. What could this be please ?
Hi Indian sorry to hear you are having these symptoms. It will be impossible for any of us to say what the x-ray would have shown. To wait nearly a month for a doctors appointment is not helpful! Was this the earliest appointment they offered you, or were there reasons you couldn’t go yourself any earlier? I would be phoning them on Monday and saying this is causing you lots of anxiety and you need an earlier appointment!
Thank you, to be fair I had the x ray done on the 19th June, told it was at least 3 weeks processing time for report to get to GP, got a call 10 days later. I also take a daily injection of a drugor osteoporosis, teriparatide. So I think it may be due to osteoporosis. Just don't want them to tell me I can't work, I'm a nurse in a busy dementia unit & only went back part time to get me out
the house & I love it ! Have a chest scan 17th July as last scan in March showed several small nodules. I'm going nuts here !
rub me out & draw me in again !!
Good morning lovely people.
2nd CT scan on 17 April this tear (R upper lobectomy Dec. 2022) recent scan has shown my middle lobe is compressed. Having bronchial lavage on the 23rd May. Letter to GP from consultant described it as possible middle lobe syndrome, GP unsure what this is. Regular chest infections but one in December this year & a few weeks ago really floored me. Throat is quite raw & my voice is quite hoarse. Anyone able to suggest any ideas on what's going on with me ?
