  • My names Michelle I’m 40 and I’ve been fighting lung cancer in both lungs this is now my 3rd year, it’s been heard but thankful I’m still here, I had hardcore chemo and radiotherapy with great shrinking in my right lung and then my left started growing so now I’m on immunotherapy, and again shrinking to my right but stable on my left, I’ve been having stomach problems that they think is constipation but I’ve also been bleeding too, had a check with the doctor they could see anything so now have to have a camera put up, really hoping it’s not more cancer. Thank you for listening xxx

    Hello Michelle

Sorry you have cause to be here and you are so young to be battling this... I am 52 and diagnosed in March with Stage 4 NSCLC, chemo didnt work, so on immunotherapy now( about to have my 6th cycle on Monday). I have coughed almost constantly this last three weeks and dont know if it's side effects of the cancer growing.Scan on 2nd October so will find out then. Waiting is the worst...

    Good  luck with your ?colonoscopy

    Hi Hatch

Welcome to us. I am sorry to hear about your additional concerns, Re immunotherapy I have similar issues too and all is well. They state side effects tend to be diarrhea however, certainly not the case for me! I get constipated on it too, usually a couple of days after for about a week.... I take Senna to 'assist' along with a cup of sugary coffee or prune juice.

I also had some bleeding too and it was bright red and alarming... I suspect and rather sure it's caused by piles due to not going as often as I should.

They are being thorough I am sure so please do not panic too much about it all. I Have had a colonoscopy in the past when I was first diagnosed and it is a bit embarrassing and the preparation isn't much fun but it is very doable.

Hopefully you will get reassuring results in no time.

Good luck and please stick about and join in.
