Hi just looking for any experiences with pain when bending down . My Dad has a plural effusion and adenocarsinoma in the right lung , he bent over today to pick up his phone and felt intense pain in his chest which he has described as feeling like something moved . He sat down and felt it move back . He now feels numb all over and very frightened , he won’t let me get in touch with the lung nurses as he is petrified they will stop his 3 weekly chemo sessions .
ma’am he thanks
Lindsey
They unfortunately will have to investigate it especially if it happens again and he is in pain. It doesn't mean they will automatically stop treatment but it's better to be safe than sorry.
I hope your Dad feels better and please ensure he or you contact his team. You can call Macmillan on 0808 808 00 00 if you want to talk things through with more medical people than on here but with privacy too.
