Hi.  Was wondering if anyone has had diabetes bought on by steroids/treatment ect ect.  When I started this journey back in July I didn't have diabetes and apparently now I have.  At the moment it seems like steroid induced, but am still waiting for appointment with diabetic nurse.  Am on medication but not on steroids.  Had  first round of treatment 2 weeks ago and don't think it's been worse since then.  Al I know is I can't stop weeding and am up 4/5 times in the night and sometimes it stings like he'll ( but not all the time).  Just wondering if anyone else has experienced the same xxx

  • Hi

I haven't had the experiences you're looking for but I noticed that your post hasn't had any replies yet. By replying to you it will 'bump' it back to the top of the page where it'll be more easily seen.

While you're waiting for replies you could use the search bar in the group to look for previous posts on this topic. For example, if you type in 'diabetes' or 'steroid induced diabetes' you'll find a number of posts pop up.

I hope you get an appointment with the diabetic nurse soon but, if your symptoms persist, then do speak to your GP rather than wait to speak to the nurse.

Hi;  Thank you for your reply.  Have now had appt with nurse and she's happy with everything.  Everything seems to have settled a bit, but not completely.  Had call from docs this AM and the culture they done was clear, which is good news.  Have got pre-assessment for next round of tx tomorrow so will mention it to them as well.  Thanks again xx

  • That's good to hear . Hope everything continues to go well.
