Hi my dad has lung cancer diagnosed in October he has just come out of hospital after 8 days and had his lung drained .. he’s been home 5 days and was doing ok just ... but yesterday and today he has rapidly gone Downhill not eating struggling to breath walk etc I’m hearbroken he doesn’t want nurses or to ring doctor my mum is with him but she has just had a hip op and struggling to she has just rang me and we don’t no what to do anyone can help me please

I’m so sorry you are in this awful situation. I’m afraid I don’t really know what advise to give you but I know someone on here will. My only suggestion would be to speak to a Macmillan nurse. I’m so sorry I can’t be more help. X

Sorry for the delayed reply. How are things with your Dad today? Not sure what you decided to do in the end but I think BOTH parents wishes are considered. So if it is putting undue strain on your Mum and could cause her harm whilst recovering then you need to contact someone for help with your Dad.

I know it's late and I hope things have settled now. Sometimes we have good and bad days, hoping it was a bit of a bad day and he has picked up a bit now.
