Mums T1n2MO DIAGNOSIS

As previously discussed, mum was in accident and emergency around 3 weeks ago and was informed by an on call respiratory consultant (after seeing her x-Ray, CT and MRI imaging) that she had incurable lung cancer.

following biopsy and PET, her diagnosis was confirmed as T1n2MO Non small cell cancer. She has a small lesion in the lower right lobe with spread to her mediastinal lymph.

current plan for treatment is surgery to remove the lung cancer and mediastinal lymph, followed by chemotherapy.

as a family, we are currently in the process of writing to the PALS department with the hope that nobody will ever be given a diagnosis without taking into full consideration, all appropriate investigations and results.

has anyone else experienced similar?

the new consultant has advised mum that one of the most important factors to recovery, is her positive mental attitude and her physical health. We cannot fault the current consultant and her team.

  • Hi

I'm not a member of this group but noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet. Responding to you will 'bump' it back to the top of the discussion list again.

I hope PALS are able to fully investigate what happened in A&E a few weeks ago but it's great to read that you're all happy with your mum's consultant and her team.

When you have a minute it would be great if you could update your profile with your mum's diagnosis and proposed treatment as it will really help others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself every time you start a new post.
