Hello
last week my mum was given a terminal diagnosis having had stage 4 non and small cell.
she had 4 chemo sessions and 35 radio sessions followed by 3 rounds of immunotherapy ( duvermalab). We have been told the cancer has spread and now terminal.
she is due to have a biopsy and then possibly more chemo which at this stage not sure which as it will depend if it’s the non or small cell that has spraed
she developed pneumonia last week and had 1.5 litres of fluid drained from her lung and another drain booked for Wednesday ..please is there anything here that we could be missing treatment wise ? She has struggling with her breathing which could be either the cancer or the fluid ?
I feel like just accepting all of this is us throwing the towel in ? Any advice or guidance be appreciated x
