Good evening all, my mum was diagnosed 7 years ago with stage 4 lung cancer and she has been very lucky it has not spread or grown. Lately she's been quite unwell, she had a chest x-ray and that was sent to her consultant and they have asked her to come in. We were recently at a&e but it was so busy we didn't stay but all her blood works are back and it is all quite high. Her appointment isn't at the usual place in wythenshaw hospital either but is at the Neil cliffe centre. Am I maybe reading to much into all this. I'm honestly so scared this may be the start of things
Hi Catmc
The Neil Cliff Centre is at Wythenshawe Hospital. From their website page it has been developed to provide an holistic approach for people with cancer and their families. To my laypersons; mind; this has been created as a 'one stop shop' for patients with cancer, rather than being passed from pillar to post in what is a very large hospital.
Your Mum is amazing for surviving Stage 4 lung cancer for 7 years. I am sure she will deal with whatever (if anything) has shown up on the latest X-ray.
Good luck.
Kegsy x
