Had a phone call with my partners oncologist this morning .

He was haveing chemo only on cycle 5 along with immunotherapy .

The immunotherapy treatment made his liver poorly along with other side effects .

He is currently on a break from chemo he is going to have around 20sessions of radiotherapy once he gets a little stronger .

The initial cancer had shrunk by 30% which was amazing his oncologist has told us that he may have to withdraw the immunotherapy drug …

unsure has to if this is a good or bad idea .

Has anybody else experienced this .

did he say why he might have to?

  • Hi   I am sorry to hear that your partner is having a break from treatment. Hopefully a break will do him good, and his liver can recover, and he can continue with the immunotherapy.

Great to hear the cancer has shrunk by 30%. There are a few people who have had to stop chemo due to either liver or kidney problems, so hopefully someone will be along soon to share their experience with you x
