Hi everyone, has anyone had experience with tinnitus during chemo/radiotherapy and how to stop it? Thanks
Hi Lezel I have not had chemo, but I do have Tinnitus, brought on from my hormone blockers. I believe low estrogen is the cause for me. It is horrible, but unfortunately I don't think there is really a cure for it. The only good thing is, I do believe it can ease over time for people who have this due to chemo.
Take care
Hu Lezel
I think it could becaused by the chemo affecting the tiny little hairs within the ear canal, During my chemo I had 100% top to toe hair loss, which resulted in a reduction in my hearing for a couple of weeks.
Raise it with your cancer team if you are concerned. Highly likely it will rectify itself when you are through the chemo.
Hope this helps a bit.
