Can anyone recommend any protein shakes whilst going through treatment Carboplatin and Etoposide and immunotherapy (Atezolizumab)?.
My Dad does have a small appetite but he’s also enjoying some Huel shakes, especially when he has a sore mouth, but I wondered what everybody’s else’s thoughts were?

Hi Lucie. I know when my mum was having chemo, the GP prescribed some protein drinks for her, I am sorry I don’t remember what they were called, but maybe speak to your Dads GP as you can definitely get them on prescription. There is also a mouth wash he can have prescribed to help with a sore mouth. My poor mum would get terrible ulcers.
Also try high calorie yoghurts, as they are cool in a sore mouth, but easy to swallow. Maybe little but often may be the way to go.
