Never saw this coming, my mum had been sat on this since last week and never said a single thing due to it being my birthday week.. she had the consultation and they told her they wouldn’t be continuing treatment chemo was due to start today
That’s it done, even though radiotherapy had shrunk the tumour in her hip they’ve just stopped it.. 2/3m is what they’ve given her now. How do they decide who to play god with! Literally broken into a million pieces and trying to hold it all together for mum, What a crock of sh!t!
Oh no! I am so sorry to hear this news. Your poor mum trying to protect you by not saying anything, breaks my heart. As a mum myself, I know I would be doing the same.
I know your mum had fluid on the lung, and I suspect this is why they would not do the chemo. It is horrible I know, I went through it with my mum when her treatment was stopped. I wish there was something I could say to make this easier for you. Just spend as much time as you can with your mum now. Thinking of you and sending a big hug xx
Remember the Macmillan support line is always available to you 7 days a week from 8am until 8pm on 0808 808 00 00. xx
My brother went with her and he said they’ve said she’s too weak for treatment the chemo would be too harsh and cause more problems and not help my heart is absolutely shattered x
I am glad she wasn’t alone, and your brother was there to support her. Xx
