Hi everyone, I had colon cancer last year, surgery then chemo. My followup scans show 1 lesion in my liver, and I am currently waiting for a treatment plan after the MDT meeting on Friday. Currently I’m feeling really on edge and I think it’s more to do with having to tell friends and family again. I’m due to see my Mum this week and I was hoping to be able to tell her about my diagnosis along with my next steps for treatment but I don’t have that yet. Any advice for sharing the bad news would be gratefully received.
Hello Hmm
I am Brian one of the Community Champions here at Macmillan. I have just noticed your post has gone unanswered. I can't answer it myself as I have a different cancer, however by me responding it will be "bumped up" to the top of the page and I hope answered by other members of the secondary liver cancer group.
I do hope you get your treatment plan sorted out soon. Here's a link to our information on sharing the "bad news".
