Hi I'm Jo, still in a bit of shock about my diagnosis of liver and bowel cancer after thinking I just had gall stones. Looking to chat for and give support. Just finding my way around this app.
Hi there, I don't know what area of the UK you are in. I am i North Hampshire which incorporates Basingstoke, Winchester, Andover and sometimes Southampton. In this I am very lucky. If and it is if you have treatment you will find the kindest & most caring nurses and staff you could possibly wish for. I really mean that. They are quiet, calm and just so friendly. I have no qualms about treatment and feel able to ask any questions I might have without feeling silly. 2cm is not a large tumour and it may well be a case of just keeping an eye on it. So calm is the way, relax and rest well. Tell your friends how you are feeling and you will be surprised how much they want to help.
Fingers crossed for you Jackie
My mum has been diagnosed with the same as yourself we are awaiting the next scan after she was told the areas, ATM we don't know the primary so where the cancer has come from so for now we don't know if there is treatment for her. A hard wait now for the next app x
Oh wow, just to get away from the nasty bits, we just adore France. Up until my diagnosis we used to spend 6,7,8 weeks but 2024 because of 3 weekly treatment cycles it didn't happen. We own a Camper Van and just bumble around with no real plan. I know nothing about the French medical system so other then send my very best wishes and a hug I'm not a lot of use. I saw my Oncologist yesterday. She is just fantastic and we seem to have a mutual appreciation society between us ! we also laugh a lot. I'm very happy to say that at the moment my treatment is working well even after 21 cycles so I just carry on. Well remember to try and think good thoughts, if it gets too hard then reach out, help is always there. Take care and I wish you well Jackie
