Hello all
I hope this query finds you well.
I have primary bowel cancer and secondary liver tumours I have had treatment which went very well, however after having an MR scan it appears that some of the tumours are pressing on the intraphepatic bile ducts causing multiple blockages along the duct.
ERCP stents have been ruled out due to the amount of blockages so dependant on liver conditions i am to have another course of chemo 5FU and oxiliplatin.
Is anyone aware of any other treatments that you've had or heard about to either desolve Crystal blockages, or remove? Or been in a similar predicament? My oncologist hasn't offered any solutions?
Long shot but thank you for taking time to read, I understand the oncologist knows best but worth asking.
Thank you

Hi SMO and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
I can't help with your questions but noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet. I've searched the group looking for previous posts which mention 'crystal blockages' but drawn a blank I'm afraid.
I hope you don't mind me suggesting that you also post this in the bowel cancer group as you'll then connect directly with others who may have similar issues to yourself. If this is something that you'd like to do, clicking on the link I've created will take you straight there and you could copy and paste this post to save you typing it all out again.
When you have a minute, it would be great if you could pop something about your diagnosis and treatment so far into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
