I'm having a hysterectomy in a couple of weeks due to pre cancer merging into stage 1. I've just had a call from the doctor as there is now a concern about blood test results of my liver function. They want me to have a scan but I've said I need to get the hysterectomy over with first. But now I'm thinking should I call back and get it booked in. With the way things are going I'm just expecting this to be another cancer and I really don't think I can cope with any more
Hi Nina60
I can understand why you're scared that you might have a new primary cancer and that is why you've cancelled the scan on your liver. However, it would probably be a good idea to speak to your CNS to find out if this scan is needed before your hysterectomy can be done.

I messaged my nurse. She checked the results.she said only one enzyme is raised and the other two are normal. Also that they would not expect this to have spread as so early stage. More likely I have something like fatty liver disease and just need to get the scan done after the surgery is sorted.
