Hi, My Mother In Law was taken to hospital in pain 18 weeks ago and was told she has a 13 cm tumour on her liver. She had a biopsy which was inconclusive, then a sonogram and then had a PET scan which were both inconclusive. They then decided to operate and remove the tumour, however when they got in there they discovered the cancer had spread to the lymph nodes and did not remove the tumour. This was 14 days ago and we still have not heard anything or had any prognosis. Is this usual or do we need to be knocking on some doors for answers? She is of the generation where she doesn't like to be a nuisance!
