Advice mainly to men, but can be for women too

Went for my 3 month scan yesterday. All women fully clothed. All men in surgical robes. Why? No metal allowed in scan machine and you men have zips on your jeans/trousers....my advice is wear joggers and a tshirt Wink

It can be cold on your old knees, let alone us women seeing your Calvin kliens....haha

Hugs...

  • I agree! I modified a bra to be metal free, wear elasticated waist trousers and t shirts so I am in and out of the CT scanner quickly. More dignified for me and more efficient for the staff - who, by the way, are always wonderful.

  • Hiya,  I read this note earlier. About 2 hours before going for a CT scan!!  No gowns needed for me today Blush  Thanks

  • RoflRoflRofl....u owe me hahaha..no cold knees for you...good luck with ur scan results,  mine are due 31st...

  • Defo no cold knees. I get the results on the 16th April. Thanks for the good wishes re the results and I hope that yours are great too. Blush

  • Every time I've had a scan I have gone in fully clothed. They just ask me if I have any metal etc. I don't wear jewellery at all, I always knock around in elasticated cut offs and a tee, and I just always remind them that I have two little (titanium?) "seeds" in one breast which were put in permanently when I was biopsied three years ago for a suspect mammogram change - now I always thought titanium was metal? but they never seem to be concerned about those for some reason! I've worn enough gowns in the course of the two surgeries I have undergone in the past two years! - can't be doing with one for a routine regular scan as well!!
