Hiya just popping in to say hello.

I was diagnosed last christmas with kidney cancer and February I had full nephrectomy, with removal of nearby lymph, which was compromised. To cope with my initial diagnosis I called my cancer Rufus and Lydia. This week we have been informed that Rufus and Lydia have sent their offspring up into both lungs. To be honest this news floored me. I have kept very positive, living each day as it comes. Thankfully I found this forum which  has given me so much comfort. I don't feel so alone. I am due to see the oncologist in the new year so any advice of what to ask, information on treatments etc...been suggested immunotherapy or targeted has been mentioned....anyway...hugs and love to everyone

  • So sorry to hear this but you are so positive. I’ve found immunotherapy amazing as it’s shrunk my secondaries a huge amount.
go for whatever is offered and you feel you can cope with. For me it has had some side effects but nothing compared to chemotherapy which my son had.

    1. Awww ty so much for such a positive reply...I hope you and your son are doing well..hugest hugs...Smiley
  • Why not use your mobile to record the con. You might be too stressed to remember all of it. But good luck to you anyway. Things are often not as bad as we fear.

  • Ty Simon.. that's a good idea . My husband always attends with me because he is more level headed than me..Rofl

  • Positivity and hope help enormously: they really are half the battle. You seem to be a positive energy so go kick that cancer's backside good and proper!

There is ALWAYS hope. Always, always.

  • Not bad for someone who suffers clinical depression, a by-product of giving birth to my youngest son years ago..hahaha...on a serious note I would rather laugh that sit being gloomy...the more u smiSmiley I have noticed, the more people want to support you. My friends just didn't know how to cope so I helped them understand that they didn't need to tip toe around me. Yes I get frightened, angry and Smileyarful but I dig deep and bounce back. You sound bouncy and upbeat too...I wish you all the very best, keep smiling...Smiley
