Like many my cancer was found 4 weeks ago after a pet ct scan to look at inflammation contacted to my arthritis.
After a further contrast dye ct I was told that I have a tumour on my right kidney that has already spread to lymph nodes and ribs and is not curable. Obviously I went into shock, denial and every other emotion. A couple of days ago I went in for a biopsy to find out staging and treatment etc.
I don't have a date for my results yet, but it suddenly feels scarily real, I'm trying to stay positive but knowing it's a large tumour that has already spread I keep thinking the worst.
Sorry it's abit of a gloomy introduction but I just feel lost right now any advice greatly appreciated.
Hi. I’m scared too. Two week ago on routine ultrasound ( unrelated) a massive mass found on right kidney . Tomorrow ct with contrast . Mo day ‘one stop’ clinic . I don’t feel unwell so it doesn’t feel real . I’ve seen the referral and know it appears to be cancerous x wishing you well
I had no symptoms either send you positive thoughts and hugs xxxx
No, waiting for biopsy results before starting treatment.
