Weeks ago I was wondering around working talking rubbish with pals .

waiting for the football season to kick off enjoying family and work time .

then bang scan phone call hated words we found something .

booked in for bloods CT scan and all systems go .

then the camera oh god the bladder camera told I’ve cancer need it out kidney that is .

and someone from the cancer team will be in touch and off ya pop .

now facing losing a kidney on Saturday quick and I’m so lucky but I’m scared confused and nervous.

no idea what I’m in for after this and how can I work self employed .

grateful to the NHS hospital royal free and so on and feel a little bit stupid about being scared .

anyway that’s my hello

  • Hi there Finney

I‘m having my kidney removed on 14th Sept as well. I’m feeling quietly confident as have spoken to a few people who have had the same op with no complications.
I’m sure I’ll feel nervous the week before but trying to remain confident and just happy it was found as mine was found through an ultra sound for something else.
Keep chatting on here and ask as many questions as you like as a lot of people have had the same operation and can offer advice etc. x
