Hi
I have a tumor in one of my kidneys. Following a needle biopsy in May of last year I was told its benign.
I have MRIs every six months at the moment just to make sure there is no change. My next MRI is this Wednesday.
I'm not really sure how long I need to have MRIs for if it isn't getting any bigger.
I was told the tumor is within the clockwork of the kidney. I just think that means it would be difficult to remove.
Is anyone else in a similar situation?
Hi AHynd,
Welcome to forum.
There are many here that have or had tumours on their kidney. Some with tumour are monitored . Some have had the tumour removed. Some have had the ttumour removed along with part of the kidney (partial nephrectomy). And some, like myself, have had the whole kidney along with tumour removed (radical nephrectomy).
Someone, i'm sure, will be in a similar position as you and have more info to offer you than i have. I just wanted to reply.
Cheers...Del.
