Hello, this is my first post. i have recently returned to work after having successful surgery for both kidney and prostate cancer. I had a phased return initially and have been back full time on light duties now for a couple of months. I struggle with fatigue and a couple of days ago i woke up with severe back pain and was unable to get dressed. i am faced with the reality that i may have to consider giving up work altogether, and was looking for adivice from someone who has had to give up work and what experience or support they had regards claiming benefits etc.
I had left kidney removed last October had back pain now for nearly a year I've been told its scar tissue healing which could take a long time regarding benefits ring up macmillan and they will tell you what your entitled to also get in touch with pip you may be entitled to some extra help hope all goes well for you I thought it was just me that had back pain but apparently its common
