Hi. I had an open nephrectomy nearly 8 weeks ago. I also have a growth on my opposite adrenal gland but have been told that is benign. I had a chronic cough for ages with no signs of anything on the lungs. After my surgery the cough disappeared but now is returning. I have read a few papers that suggest this means the cancer has returned. I am also getting some pains under my ribcage in aches in my back.
Hi SDE
Breathe..... this could be from the surgery the cough you may need to push your doctor for xray or even ring 111 if your struggling with your chest.. I've been having pains in the same places since surgery make sure you go have an examination its a vicious circle every ache and pain we get it plays with our anxiety wish you all the best xemz
Thanks. I feel like I'm analysing every ache and pain. My scan is not till December. I don't think I can wait till then!
Bless you please push for an earlier scan speak with your nurses and try to get hold of the secatary of your consultant make things move if this is how you feel keep strong xx
