Hi
My friend has just been diagnosed with kidney cancer after having a CT scan of chest and stomach at A&E and we are now waiting for a referral. Does anyone know how soon that will be? It’s a big mass and it’s gone to the lymph nodes but not spread. She is very poorly breathless, fatigue, blood in urine, persistent cough, no appetite, anaemic. She hasn’t got the energy to do basic things round the house.
I’d appreciate any advice x
Hell I have literally just joined. I have only just posted for the first time. To your answer I can only go on what happened to me. From my first diagnosis to the actual surgery it all happened within 4/5 weeks but maybe quicker for your friend as mine was just after first lockdown then going into second lockdown
Sent to quick. I hope your friend is ok it is such a shock and will probably be the only thing on her mind but that is to be expected. The surgeons are amazing in this area they have really come on leaps and bounds. If you or your friend start Googling always look at the date it was written as kidney cancer treatment has improved so much just in the last few years. Take care.
