My husband had his kidney out a month ago, it was stage 4 cancer, waiting on CT scan as they’re concerned it may have leaked / spread then oncology for treatment diagnosis

he’s not eating, everything tastes horrid, not sleeping, and is very down.

this is just so scary.

  • Hi  kidney cancer's,  a slow grower compared with other cancers. Also there are many meds available, both ordinary n immunotheraphy. Indeed a no of ppl in this group have been stagec4' for years, incl myself.

Once he has a treatment plan you'll feel happier. It's the not knowing that gets to folk.

Do let us know how you get on with the oncologist.

Thank you sooooo much for your reply, I’ve been so worried, he’s been very down and obsessing over thoughts of chemo, he has OCD so it’s been v stressful

yes once we have a plan of action hopefully that will give him a boost, he’s lost a lot of weight and it’s hard to get him to eat as his tastes have changed, and I have to nag him to exercise as he’s always so tired (so I feel super mean) I need to apply for financial help as he’s a self employed sports coach, and I quit my job late 2019 to set up my own small business so I’m struggling to earn enough, it was supposed to be a part time so I’m trying to grow that as well. TBH I’m exhausted.

it’s a maze of emotion and practicalities and I’m trying to sort it all with a head full of fog

it’s so good to hear how well you’re doing, you’ve given me hope so thank you Pray
