Hey everyone Wave tone1, I'm new here just thought I'd share my story, it started around mid December I was having lots of different things going on, stomach bloating, pains, black stools, really bad night sweats, went the docs everything was clear, bloods, stool, urine, however my CPR score in my blood was 125 a high reading is between 8-10 so they sent me to A&E they kept me in an put camera down, nothing was found had CT scan and that's when they found 10cm mass on my kidney, fast forward to 25th Feb my surgery day , radical nephrectomy I was in surgery for 6 hrs apparently it had gone right behind my liver and was stuck to my main artery, surgeon worked wonders and got everything out, spent 5 days in hospital seen specialist 4 weeks later , stage 3 cancer tumour had grown to just over 12cm, however was very aggressive so they are sending me to clatterbridge for immunotherapy treatment,  not sure when still not had appointment date but I'm 7 weeks post surgery and feeling great, back in the gym, eating great again just not sure what the future holds, thanks for listening.

  • Hiya Shep..nice to meet you...welcome to our friendly forum.

Put your story in your profile. Makes it so you don't have to repeat your story over and over... Laughing

Good to see ur recovering well. Gym...jeez a walk with my puppy is just enough for me...don't have the energy anymore..

I tend not to worry about the future.  Learned to live each day...find joy in the mundane...life is good especially with the glorious sunshine we've had.

Always here if u need to talk

    Hugs

  • Hi Shep and welcome. You have been through the mill there!! CryHugging Glad you are recovering nicely but I admire you for feeling up to going to the gym after going through a surgery like that! - that said, working out is no doubt good for you mentally as well as physically (I don't go to gyms but I know that for me, walking and swimming are very healing, mentally as well as physically, and that will apply to any type of physical exercise) and your positive attitude is what will bring you through this - so glad you are feeling great now!

Good luck for the ongoing treatment. You are doing soooo well for just 7 weeks after surgery! - well done! Hugging
