Good morning all
just an update on me, I had my right kidney removed yesterday by keyhole surgery and I’m told it was a success. Think I’ll be staying in hospital another night as my blood pressure is low but the pain is subsiding.
im happy it’s done now and can focus on recovering xxx
I'm having the whole kidney and pipes removed too
4 weeks today for you. Have faith in the surgeons and be very kind to yourself. My doctor said yesterday that it’s the equivalent of having part of your leg removed. Just because we can’t see it it’s still a massive deal so take ALL the help you can before and most importantly after.
I usually try and do everything myself but have heard some horror stories where people haven’t taken the help and their recovery went backwards.
Try and rest as much as you can and get early nights as your body will thank you for it x
I’m starting to feel good thank you and can’t believe it’s a week since my op. I’m walking more but only very short walks and feeling more mobile. The wound sites are less tight and I’m sleeping better too. I stopped the pain meds 2 days ago. Little and often is the key x
