Kidney removed yesterday

4 weeks today for you. Have faith in the surgeons and be very kind to yourself. My doctor said yesterday that it’s the equivalent of having part of your leg removed. Just because we can’t see it it’s still a massive deal so take ALL the help you can before and most importantly after. 
I usually try and do everything myself but have heard some horror stories where people haven’t taken the help and their recovery went backwards. 
Try and rest as much as you can and get early nights as your body will thank you for it x 

How are you feeling Davina? 

I’m starting to feel good thank you and can’t believe it’s a week since my op. I’m walking more but only very short walks and feeling more mobile. The wound sites are less tight and I’m sleeping better too. I stopped the pain meds 2 days ago. Little and often is the key x

Thank you! I’m on day 12 post op now and still feeling better everyday. Have my follow up appointment with the consultant next Friday so hoping I don’t need any further treatment x
