Hello
i just wonder whether anyone has any advice for skin rash - red inflamed and crusty. This week very itchy! I’m into the 8th cycle of my immunotherapy - now on 4 cycle of nivulamb which they class as maintenance drug. Lost my left kidney but it’s returned in a rare form in main renal vein.
the spots have come up since the gp ⚕️ my levothyroxine increased at Christmas and suddenly they all erupted !
she seems to think loratadine will help with itching as it’s allegedly kinder to the remaining kidney/ has anyone else been recommended this?
she’s also prescribed eumovate cream once a day and referred her to dermatologist who can’t see me for 14 days!
has anyone else used loratadine?
Hi Hopeful Lady,
I am currently on Nivolumab as a maintenance cycle after kidney cancer. My main side effect has been rashes and very itchy skin for which I have been prescribed numerous cortisone creams and moisturisers but the only thing that works for itching is one called Arjun. It is an aqueous moisturiser with 1% menthol and only available on prescription. I get mine from the oncology ward when I attend for immunotherapy. I have had no experience with loratadine so I can't comment on that question.
All the best,
Mike
Many thanks Mike I will ask about that - your reply is much appreciated
