Well, my little rufus and Lydia were removed last February but not before they send their baby off spring to my lungs. Nodules are largest 5 mm. I saw the oncologist many many months ago about immunotherapy but it was decided at the time not to go down this route. Obviously things have changed now. What are peoples thoughts on both immunotherapy and targeted therapy. I want a balanced approach for when I see my oncologist...stories good and bad won't scare me so don't be shy. So come on gang give me some advice so my fatigued brain hasn't got to do much more research...thankyou...

I’m Anne, one of the Community Champions here on the Online Community and, although I'm not a member of this group, I noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet. Responding to you will 'bump' it back to the top of the discussion list again.

While you're waiting for replies, it would be great if you could put something about your diagnosis and treatment to date into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. • Hi Fleabane ... how naughty of Rufus and Lydia to do that to you!!  've not long had my surgery, so don't have any advice or experience on the information you need ... just been taking it one step at a time so my knowledge around the systemic therapies is scarce.  I know just what you mean though about trying to research with a fatigued brain!

I am wondering about immunotherapy myself ... it sounds like you decided not to go down that route after your surgery?

Best Wishes with your appointment with the oncologist.

  • Hiya tinkerbell...ty for reply. Hope ur healing well..the immunotherapy was put on hold because I wasn't sure if I had an autoimmune disease. But investigations done and nothing found. So immunotherapy or targeted I suppose...lol...it's like a mine field...but I have my embroidery packed, my Christies coffee mug, my medical notes...so ready for the long day ahead of blood test etc...thankfully hubby will be with me to take notes...hahaha...if I learn more about the therapies of help I'll post it...hugs and ty again for reply.

  • Thanks for the response and yes please do post if you learn anything of use.  It is a mine field.  At least you are prepared for the day!

I am healing well, it's taking a while but starting to feel more normal!

    Hugs to you too x

  • Hi Fleabane

I have just started immunotherapy and target treatment about 2 weeks ago for cancer in.my adrenal gland and on my lungs so far it has not been too bad just some mind tummy issues but I do get tired by the end of the day..Mentally it's been quite tough as there are a long list of side effects that I get a bit paranoid about. I have the immunotherapy every 6 weeks and take the target drug in a tablet form every day.Hope this little bit about my treatment helps you.Feel free to ask any questions if you want.

PS apologies for any poor grammar
