Hi all,
Hope everyone is taking each day as it comes and enjoying moments ️
An update from me - currently isolating pre surgery on Thursday. Planned robotic assisted partial nephrectomy & so fingers crossed this will be what I get and no complications.
It has been a roller coaster to get to this stage after an incidental diagnosis in May. This forum, both directly in response to my posts and indirectly through reading others' experiences, has been so helpful.
Feeling blessed after a lovely weekend in Newcastle seeing family. One daughter ran GNR & has raised almost £500 for Macmillan Cancer Support. We enjoyed cheering everyone on across the Tyne bridge. Hopefully I will be fit enough to run next year
I'll give an update post op when I am home. I feel ready and have taken on board all the top tips - though all I can remember now is big knickers
All the best to everyone on their journeys

Hi Smiles, so pleased that you have your date. Don’t worry if you are feeling a little anxious, I remember that I was right up to the surgery day and on that morning I got up with a very calm ‘let’s get this done’ attitude.
£500 is a fantastic amount to have raised and it’s helping all of us, so please thank your daughter.
Sending you a big hug and will look forward to hearing from you.
Brst wishes, Jules xxx
