Hi all,
Diagnosis T2 N2b M0 squamos cell carcinoma of left tonsil.
I am two years post treatment and have recently had my heartburn prescription stopped. Currently have frequent bouts, am taking Rennie tablets that aren't very good.
Was on Omeprazole.
Eleven years on Omeprazole initially, which was changed to Lanzoprazole for some reason at one point, don't recall why. If I run out I can cope with Rennies for a couple of days, but no longer.
Metastatic SCC diagnosed 8th October 2013. Modified radical neck dissection November, thirty-five radiotherapy fractions with 2xCisplatin chemo Jan/Feb 2014. Recurrence on larynx diagnosed July 2020 so salvage laryngectomy in September 2020.

Lansoprazole is safer in the long term.
