Hi,
I have a question that I forgot to ask my consultant at results of pet scan.Because my pet scan was showing hot areas she said it could be radio resistant.Does anyone know why two thirds of a tumour would respond and one third of same tumour wouldn't ? It's HPV16 + too which as we all know is extremely responsive to radiotherapy.Seems to go against everything I've read.
Has anyone else had this ? Tumour was scanned at 21weeeks after end of treatment.
Thanks for your time,
Turi

SCC is notorious for being a tumour with mixed populations of cells ( not all a clone of the first cancer cell) I’m no expert but that might account for it.
