Steve: Tonsil Cancer HPV16. Discharged 5 March. Now on regular checks.
Well, I went back to work (part-time)last week. And it was alright, I suppose. I have a very dry throat which is causing a croaky voice first thing.Im using assorted lotions and potions, but a croaky voice and a dry larynx are a real nuisance.
Everything seems to be healing. The inside of my right cheek seems a little swollen but doesn't hurt.
Now the weather is getting sunny I had better think about suncream. What factor do people use? I have marking where the radiotherapy was. I presume I put it there? I have a big hat! I might get a bandana. LoL
Stephen
Factor 50 for a year every day whether it’s sunny or not.
You can get away with 30 after that first year

I use factor 50 with 5 stars. After trying many over the past two years I’ve found the Nivea ‘Protect and Moisture’ spray-on easiest to use and most effective as it moisturises too. (That said, I saw today that Morrisons do their own version more cheaply so might try that next.)
Hi bandana is- useful thing I carry one even now. Factor 50 on neck and 30 I use daily on my neck its routine for me. Spending g 3/4 months I. Spain at home 50 on neck 30 elsewhere that’s exposed. Dry mouth is the big one for most of us try sugar free gum and carry a water spray that’s a top we’ve found out recently ftom s hesd snd neck late efffcts nurses webinar. Spraying doesn’t remove what saliva you've got just adds to it.
