For the past few weeks I’ve had very itchy forearms and have at times drawn blood in scratching them. Like eczema.
I always knew that after RT my neck would be very susceptible to the sun and have used Bio-oil and sunblock religiously to try to keep it moisturised. (That said, it still gets very itchy sometimes.) But this didn’t explain my forearms. Then today I put shorts on for the first time (at last! Hooray!) and my legs have now started itching. So I had something of a eureka moment - namely that these are all parts of me that have been exposed to the sun or open air.
Does anyone know if post-RT-sun-related-eczema is even a thing?
Any suggestions gratefully received.
PS I did have eczema as a child but grew out of it in my teens.
Those bits of you exposed to RT are more likely to burn but more importantly are more susceptible to skin cancer, hence the factor 50 on your neck for ever when you go out. As for the rest of you I suspect that your body is out of kilter and your childhood excema has simply popped up again, just like many childhood diseases can. So the only bit of you at risk is your neck the rest is something else
