Dont think enough can ever be said about the help on this forum.  For everyone facing diagnosis, treatment or after effects there is someone here in the know and what a wonderful job they all do.

Just thought I would add to this as had a Head and Neck follow up this afternoon and a youngish man clutching his piece of paper with the Mcmillan nurses phone numbers on came out of a room and sat socially distanced nect to me.  I felt so sorry for him as he was clutching his head then tried to make a call to someone who was driving and could not speak.  So I just gave him a smile and asked if he had just been told...  He was a nice young man we did not go into details but just told him that the team were good and would look after him, he looked close to tears, bless him.  But after a few kind words and he went in to see the team he came back out and thanked me for caring.  I hope he is OK.

Meantime my radiotherapy is healing fine.  Had 3rd Chemo on Friday and despite feeling a bit rough am coping with it OK.  Hair has gone very thin but I have not lost it all, yet...  Sherman is his usual naughty self and there is light at the end of my very lengthy tunnel.  I more chemo to go then just checks, fingers crossed we got this under control at long last.

Love to all Mo xx

  • Ah bless you Mo for your lovely response to someone in need.  I'm sure your kindness made a huge difference to him.

So pleased to hear you're healing well and  near the end of your chemo.

All the very best to you Mo.  You've been through far too much for one person.

  • Oh Mo. What a lovely gorgeous selfless lady you are. I hope Sherman realises what a fantastic mum he has!
You probably made more difference to that chap’s day than you will ever imagine.
Im so glad you can see the end of that tunnel, it’s been a bloody long journey.
Thanks  for the update you deserve some peace from all this.
    Best wishes
