Hello All

I just wanted to thank all of the Community Champions and advisors that have given so much of their time to help and speak to those of us with worries during the past 12 months.  Probably one of the hardest years to have picked to be ill.  Even Christmas is going to be a bit strange this year.  Some people alone some in high tiers thank heavens for modern technology.  This post is just meant a a great big virtual hug to all on the cancer road which ever part of the journey you are on.  Take care of yourselves and try to find one positive thing a day that makes you smile and glad to be a human.

Enjoy what ever you are doing and I am sure that our sagas will continue along with our non line friendships.

All the best

Mo (and Sherman) xx

  • Thanks for this lovely message, yours has been one of the most difficult, longwinded journies i have even come across so well done for hanging on in there. Hope you have a good Christmas and a productive New Year with your treatments and recovery, Special Christmas wishes to you your family, and of course, Sherman, take care.

                                                                                       Chris xx

  • Dearest Mo (and Sherman)

Thank you for such a thoughtful and encouraging post in the face of your own hugely challenging journey. Your stories while often full of deserved angst have been uplifting and hugely funny. We have to laugh, don't we? We have to blow our anxiety away, if only for a while, some way.

I'd like to wave a flag to all of us, to the friendships along our intertwining road, to the way we have been propped up by our fellows and to the way we have in turn propped up others.

I wish everybody a good Christmas of sorts and the strength to plod on through to recovery

  • I just want to echo everything that Mo has said. It would be so easy for those of you who are now well and getting on with normal life to put your trauma behind you and move on. Instead you are always here to hold the hands of terrified newbies and share your knowledge and experience. I don’t post very often but I do read relevant threads and I have found a lot of reassurance and some great advice. Merry Christmas everyone, whatever stage you are at. Xx

  • Merry Christmas knitty. I hope your recovery is as seamless an uneventful as it can be. Next year will be better and this Christmas will just be a memory.
    Cheers

  • Can't add any more to what everyone else has said in reply to your post Mo.  I am in complete admiration for the way in which you've dealt with everything that's been thrown at you.

I'm going to drink a glass of mulled wine in a minute and will raise a toast to a better year for you in 2021.
