Stage 4

Hi Spencer. Nobody has replied so I thought I’d bump your post to the top of the page so somebody might see it. 
There are quite a few people here who had T4 tumours, Debbielouise who you have already swapped posts with but I can’t recall anybody at stage 4. 
Hopefully somebody will join in.

Mine was T4 base of tongue (I had my tonsils out as a child). I had 6 weeks radiotherapy with chemo and I've been all clear for 2 years now.

As you know I had T4 right tonsil spread to several lymph’s ( to top of collarbone)on right ,base of tongue and activity in left tonsil . Had 7 weeks high dose Radiotherapy plus 2 out of 3 planned over night chemos.

I was very ill spent most of time in Hospital found treatment pretty brutal but as I said before I would do it all again if I had too.

Im 15mths after successfull treatment. I spoke to a woman who also had T4 but I don’t think she comes on the site anymore I also met a man in my Cancer Hospital  who was a T4 and he’s same as me 15 mths.

T4 diagnosis isn’t a death sentence as many people think .

Forgot to say…

Remeber this forum is a only a fraction of people diagnosed with H&N cancers so there will be many many more people who had a T4 diagnosis and had successful treatment but have not accessed this forum.
