I started off at T1 on scan but was T2 by the time I got treated. No nodes though so avoided chemotherapy.
I was eating soft food at 12 weeks but didn’t taste of much. Taste slowly improved but was muted. I wasn’t happy with it till six months. It got better in fits and starts for a couple of years after that. It’s still not what it was but at least I can eat a curry.

What stage were you when diagnosed and is there a cure for yours?
I had a malformed tonsil for a couple of years before cancer diagnosis...it had then spread to a lymph node in my neck....Chemo and radiotherapy zapped it...
Oncology never really elaborated on the cancer sites....biopsies took out most of the suspect tonsil...
Recovery is tough ...stick in, you will get through...I was 68 when diagnosed...
Keep posting ...plenty of support and advice from the posters on this forum....they have been there....done it

Has anyone had unknown primary this scares me even tho the chemo kills whatever radiation doesn’t. Could primary be in a totally different location other than head or neck?
also can hpv travel to lung. ? I have a 3 mm nodule lower left lobe that is worrying me. They cannot check it until my 3 mo follow up. It will grow large by then. This was discovered 11/24 my pet scan isn’t til April

If it’s an HPV positive SCC then no.
also can hpv travel to lung
Yes but it’s not common

That is tiny.
I have 6mm and a 9mm nodules. They are really common in older people and are a hangover from a previous chest infection. I had 2CTs 3 months apart. Both nodules were unchanged.
