Hi
can you help me
All of it
i have a phobia of vomiting
i was told they would prevent it but they say anything
Originally told 30 rt and 6 chemo
now changed plan due to pet scan
Don’t want a tube
im even thinking it may have spread
had it for 12 months
I found the full body pet scan easiest of all the tests I had. Plus surprisingly silent. I’m only having RT plus had two surgeries so can’t comment on chemo but from what I’ve seen in here the drugs are very good for nausea.
Hi I had cisplatin chemo I didn’t vomit. I took the medication that they gave me. Some people wait until they feel nauseated I took it without feeling nauseous and it worked for me. Tell your team any concerns and there’s others anti sickness meds if the first ones don’t work. The n g tube was my lifesaver please don’t finish it none of us wanted it but they enable to to take sufficient nutrition dnd hydration if you can’t swallow.

The PET is two passes through the scanner and an hour’s wait beforehand while the radio tracer you get by injection settles in your body. It doesn’t hurt.
You will get drugs to help with the nausea
Your team won’t lie to you. Every possible side effect will be explained but nobody gets all of them.
Wait for your scan results. Then take it from there.

Yes. That’s spot on. Just a bit boring waiting for the actual scan.
