I’m p16 negative scc tonsil cancer

having a pet cat scan tomorrow

Your PET/CT should be uneventful but I suspect you are worrying about metastasis elsewhere. The results should be available to your consultant by mid week so you should here pretty soon after. 
Apart from the HPV status what else do you know? 
Even HPV negative cancer responds well to treatment. 

Yeah the cat scan had a couple of highlights hence the pet cat scan

Neither did I but having one saved my life. If you are offered one then take it. 
Take each day as it comes. Hopefully your dental check will be ok and you can start treatment

Where? 
Spread to lymph nodes in the neck is pretty common and treatable. 

Hi Are you afraid of the actual pet scan or results or both!

i have a phobia of vomiting

i was told they would prevent it but they say anything 

Originally told 30 rt and 6 chemo

now changed plan due to pet scan

Don’t want a tube

im even thinking it may have spread

had it for 12 months
