Asymmetry isn’t a diagnosis. It’s a description of how the tongue looks, uneven on one side. One side doesn't match the other in terms of size or shape

I had my ct scan yesterday i am waiting for appt for biopsy thanks for listening and being patient it was jsut with getting 2 diffrent things from saying a cyst to the slight assmetry but not mentionkng cyst on report had me quite confused altough the report does say no red flags .thank you i will try to refrain from posting snd keep you all update

Do you think he would of told me if he saw anything , he used the camera up my throat and i thought he had seen tbe cyst i guess him putting no red flags is good , but its so fustrating not knowing whats going on and things changing a i thohght was cyst and now the symettry with no explanation of the change of wording and when i went to see my dr and she said its probably nothing because of no  red flags and she said he would of mentioned if he saw somethkng suspicious  my only symptom is sore throat and ears but i also have reflux , it jsut makes me think hes not telling me everything

You have to remember that medics have their own language. His report is a case in point. 
Im a slave to reflux if I don’t watch what I eat and I know it can cause any number of things including sore throat. 
It’s a case of just hanging on till the next appointment. 
Do you have a date for the biopsy or does it depend on the results of the CT?

Yes. When I had a scope my consultant said there was an area of concern and I had a head and neck MRI. 

I dont have a date said have ct so they can then do biopsy very vague with what they saying so the assmetry could still bt there because of a cyst i guess it gets confusing when they say one thing to you and something else is written down it gets confusing and scary im on own most of the time as son and hubby work snd don't really have a friends network ,i had cyst in my head til the report came through

When he scoped me thats when he said there something there dosnt look suspicious so dont worry sair jt several times but now no mention of a cyst 

Hi yes he would have said if he had any concerns when I had my scope I was told straight away I had suspected  cancer they are the experts they do what they do regularly. Well done on getting through the scan. After my scope I was quickly put through the system ,hopefully your biopsy won’t be too long a wait.

If nothing shows up on the scan they won’t biopsy so fingers crossed. You should hear by the end of next week.
