My letter sent from ent thats gone to dr says that there is slight asymmetry left side base of tongue and he is doing a biopsy what is he actually doing a biopsy of as he told me a cyst but there no mention of a cyst on the letter

That’s a question for the surgeon. I would presume he is sampling the asymmetrical bit, an asymmetry that he is not sure of. But trying to second guess what us meant is just stressing you. Ring on Monday to find out.
