Hi. I'm new to the group, my name is Paul. In June 2022 l had a tracheostomy and in March this year I had a laryngectomy. Can anyone advise me regarding a reputable company providing travel insurance for someone with a laryngectomy. Also with regard to flying any experience would be appreciated. I'm intending to fly within the UK - Belfast to London Luton. Any issues with bringing on board your suction machine etc. Thank you
Hi. May be worth looking/asking on this forum
I was diagnosed with laryngeal (larynx) cancer about three and a half years ago. I had four weeks of radiotherapy. I also have COPD and bronchiectasis and was having a lot of breathing issues. I attended my local A&E and was examined by an ENT consultant who advised that I needed a tracheostomy because he saw signs of the cancer returning and coupled with my COPD and bronchiectasis this was the cause of my breathing issues. Hope this helps and good luck with your treatment going forward.
