Hi I'm new to the group I've been diagnosed with T3 laryngeal cancer in June been told can't have chemotherapy due to heart problems don't want radiation therapy so going for full removal. Hoping I made correct move
Hi Scamp2009c20f03 and welcome.
My first husband had radiotherapy for a laryngeal cancer which was small. I don’t think they graded them
in those days but his surgeon reported a small malignant polyp. The RT failed and he had to have surgery on irradiated tissue and had quite a long surgical recovery.
However he went in to have a really good life with no lasting side effects apart from hypothyroidism which I suspect was RT induced anyway.
Surgery on healthy tissue should be uneventful so I suspect my husband would have done the same with hindsight.
