Instructions for post treatment scan.

No carbohydrates at all. They will put his blood glucose up and interfere with the scan. Likely he will be told no strenuous activity too. 
Follow the instructions. 

The instructions are vague. All they told me wa no carbs after dinner. I spoke w the receptionist on the phone this mng.  Sometimes he eats late. I’ll have to make sure he eats by 6 pm. 
thrte was nothing said about strenuous exercise but he was planning to install some flooring tmro.

No strenuous exercise in 24 hours before scan. 
You are stressed enough over this so don’t play with fire. 
Feed him early and tell him to rest till the scan. 

Hi no carbs and no exercise. I think I had a morning reading my pet ct was at 1200 so had yoghurt from memory for breakfast. He will be fine the longest part is waiting fir the nuclear serum  to do its thing I was an hour. Then around 20 mins in scanner. 
ni children under 2 for 24 hours after as well.

Remember you can’t influence the scan  so try not to worry you’ll make yourself ill.

Interesting about the carbs.  Whilst I was told no exercise and drink lots of water all I was told on the eating front was nothing for 6 hours before the scan.  Just checked on the instructions given to me.  

Rose it will all be fine.  I am thinking positive thought for you and your husband.  You should have the answers in a week or so.

It’s what I was told too. No chewing gum while waiting either. You can understand that. 
Rest quietly after the injection to minimise muscle activity. Some people are told not to even read. I wasn’t so took my kindle.
